WELCOME
The Faculty of Radiation Oncology Genito-urinary Group (FROGG) welcomes and invites you to attend the September 2022 FROGG Workshop “ PRECISION MEDICINE IN PROSTATE CANCER: Genomics, Technology and Evidence Based Practice”. The objective of FROGG workshops is to increase awareness of emerging evidence and promote best practice in the delivery of radiation treatment for genito-urinary malignancies.
There have been several important and recently reported prostate trials including the meta analysis of the early salvage studies and a main focus of this ASM will be on the management of recurrent prostate cancer. We will also be using the meeting to work towards updating the FROGG post prostatectomy guidelines. The meeting will feature keynote presentations from 3 international speakers. We are very excited to have both Professor Daniel Spratt, Chairman of the Department of Radiation Oncology at UH Cleveland Medical Center/Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and Dr Alison Tree, consultant clinical oncologist at The Royal Marsden joining us at the meeting. Our hope of course is that they will be able to join us in person given the ongoing COVID vaccination rollout internationally and nationally. Our third international speaker, also from the Royal Marsden in the UK and PI of the Radicals trial is Professor Christopher Parker, who will be joining us virtually.
As always, the meeting will be interactive with contouring and planning workshops and panel discussions. The workshop is targeted towards radiation oncologists (including trainees), medical physicists and radiation therapists who are involved in treating genito-urinary malignancies. This will also be our first meeting where we invite a select group of trainees to present their GU research during the meeting.
